I am really pleased to announce that Matt Holland was promoted last night to Blue Belt. In addition to this, he is the first BJJ Hertfordshire team member to progress from no BJJ to Blue Belt.

I would just like to thank Matt for his hard work and consistency in his training. Well deserved promotion.

Thanks also to Arlans Siqueria and Stu Anderson for all their support with teaching that has allowed BJJ Hertfordshire to produce a Blue Belt, and of course all of the rest of the people that attend the classes, as you only are ever as good as the people you train with.

In addition to  this Big congratulations to Chris (3rd & 4th stripe), Nolan (3rd Stripe), Dom and Martin (both 1st stripes) for getting stripes. I believe that we could have 3 or 4 more blue belts by the end of the year.

Special mention to my mate Tom Whaling, who Arlans gave a second stripe on his blue belt.

Tonights Class

Training tonight is cancelled, in previous years the roads around the hall have become pretty dnagerous as the snow turns to ice when the temperature drops at night.

Request from Enzo

By Thursday, hopefully the snow should have gone, and I would like as many of you at training as possible as Arlans is coming and I would like to take some team photos. Even if you are currently injured, or have not been training in a while please come down as it would be nice to have you all in the photo.

It would also be great to have any of the Edmonton boys that train with us also come for the photo.

Guys,

Arlans will be teaching a Gi BJJ class next Thursday (19th January 2012), so Ian has very kindly agreed to teach the wrestling class this Monday (16th January 2012).

This is a great opportunity for the guys that can’t make wrestling on a Thursday to train.

Please note this is for next week only.
