Learn how to fix injuries and prevent them in the first place – Next Seminar Sat 20/11/2010 10am Pre & Post Injury Rehabilitation Massage Seminar

I am looking to run this seminar organise a seminar  on Saturday the 20th November between 10am and 12pm at the Hoddesdon venue.

The aim of this seminar is for us to learn two things:

1. How to best prevent injuries
2. How we can best self rehabilitate after injuries with massage

The seminar is going to be run by Chris & Steven who are Shiatsu massage experts and run the successful Shiatsu Company City Shiatsu (for more info on them please visit

As always, this seminar is free to all BJJ monthly members from both Hoddesdon & Edmonton, and for non members and non BJJ people the price is £20 to attend. Everyone is welcome.

IMPORTANT: Please let me know via email if you are going to attend, spaces are limited, and works on a first come basis.

Here s what will be covered.

The seminar will be broken into three  40 minute sections

10.00 – 10.40  Pre match points

Warming up routine, including muscle release points.

Warming up is key to sporting performance, however knowing how to activate certain muscle groups will give an even bigger advantage over your opponent.

Points for the upper body
Points for the lower body

10.40 – 11.20  How to rehabilitate injuries

Explaination of what types of injuries we suffer.
(this will allow memebers to help reduce their recovery time and also rehabilitate each other)

Trauma injuries – how to work on them
Fatigue injuries – how to work them

11.20 – 12.00  Massage techniques
With partners we’ll explain how to put together a massage, showing different techniques and how to work specific areas.
